I have nothing today but my smile.

I caught up with a very dear friend of mine yesterday. We all have those friends we goof around with..have endless chats..practically comfortable in telling them the weirdest stories or moments in your life yet have a laugh about it..

She asked me something.. “So i see you have such an active life and I saw you last 2 months ago before I left for my trip and family vacation..You look different did you gain weight…what has changed”. This came from the point of being concerned if I was doing well..If something was wrong..but she pointed I was laughing and calm again..

Thinking about it for a few hours in my mind while I was with her I realized…

I Am Happy Again

After all the turmoil in my life I went through the last 2 years I am glad to see this change..I think I am nearly 70% there. I do have my anxious moments don’t take me wrong. Recently I learned that when I am anxious I become super quite and aloof staring at my phone. I have headphones on with no music playing. I get agitated in crowds or too many people despite the fact that i lived in cities like Mumbai, New York my whole life but the most important lesson I have learned is..

Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened. It taught you what you don’t need in life and know your new limits.

We often let people in our life to devastate it but you cant let anyone hurt you without your permission.  You just need to accept your conditions and make the most of it. Yes, we give up our whole lives for some and we still end up in places that are difficult and we succumb to them. It’s often hard to forget pain, but it’s even harder to remember sweetness. We have no scar to show for happiness. We learn so little from peace.

So learn to accept your situation. Acceptance is the first step after all. Always remember for every minute you are angry you lose 60 secs of being happy or at peace. Life is always in the moments you live.

Attitude is a choice. Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Kindness is a choice. Giving is a choice. Respect is a choice. Whatever choice you make makes you. Choose wisely.
